The Wrecking Ball

The 2016 election was a rough time for America and the results, frankly, were a punch to the gut. To combat the human and environmental rights rollbacks that followed, myself and a team of trusted peers put our skills to work to organize a series of objective fundraiser events. Dubbed The Wrecking Ball, our goal was to break down partisan walls, encourage action, and build a new foundation—one more conducive to empathy, understanding, and progress.

In the hours following the Boston Women’s March, we hosted our first event at Aeronaut Brewing Co. in Somerville, Massachusetts. Leaving us humbled by attendance and enthusiasm, we we able to raise $3,000+ in support of Planned Parenthood.

After the success of our first event, we teamed up with Night Shift Brewing in Everitt, Massachusetts to host a second fundraiser. Held on Earth Day, all proceeds were in support of the National Resources Defense Council.
